A collection of wartime letters written by my father, Robert Tighe, scanned from original documents and transcribed. Includes pictures and correspondence from training, deployment, liberation, and post-war occupation in Germany. Letters include his time in the 4th Armored Division, Third Army, and experiences bearing witness to Ohrdruf and Buchenwald concentration camps. Archive is in progress. New letters and pictures will be added incrementally.

Transcriptions supported by the Transkribus Handwriting and Text Recognition system.
