Dear Mother & Dad:
Well, things really seem to be going
good. I was just reading the latest copy of
"The Stars & Stripes" and the news looks good.
I am just praying as hard as I can and
keeping my fingers crossed.
Today is Sunday. I went to mass and
Holy Communion in a very old church
in a very old German town. I have heard
that religion had been abolished here, but I
can't see it. Every little town has a very
large church with a good substantial
congregation. The whole population seems to be
Catholic. All along the country roads there are
grottos where one can kneel & pray. All in
all, the place looks very religious.
Well, that will have to be all for
now. The first chance I get, I want to write
a long letter and enclose some clippings I have
in the envelope.
Please send a package if you get a
chance.
Your Loving Son
